Robbers Roost is a quiet, secluded campsite located five miles south of Winter Park. You’ll find this exclusive Winter Park campground on the eastern side of Highway 40, where there are a mere eleven campsites that operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Robbers Roost has a limit of two vehicles per site and a maximum spur length of twenty-five feet. The site is more primitive, as potable water is not available, so come prepared!

Idlewild Campground is one of the most popular campsites in Grand Country. Nestled along the Fraser River just south of Winter Park, you’ll encounter Idlewild Campground on the Fraser River Trail. This location has twenty-four campsites. Similar to Robbers Roost, this Winter Park campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis and has a limit of two vehicles per site. However, Idlewild Campground has fire grates, picnic tables, pit toilets, a maximum spur length of thirty-two feet, and drinking water available. Additionally, the campsite is located just a short walk or bike ride from Winter Park.

Four miles southwest of Fraser off of County Rd. 73, you’ll find the St. Louis Creek Campground. Here, there are sixteen first-come, first-served campsites, a limit of two vehicles per site, and a maximum spur length of thirty-two feet. Additionally, this campsite provides easy access to picturesque hiking and biking trails, vault toilets, fire grates, drinking water, and picnic tables, all less than two miles from the rodeo grounds.

Sunset Point Campground is situated on Lake Granby, just off of Highway 34. The campsite has twenty-five non-electric first-come, first-served campgrounds, bringing campers back-to-basics. Vault toilets, picnic tables, fire grates, drinking water, firewood, and a boat ramp are all available onsite. Spur length maximums are set at forty-five feet.
