The Winter Park Half Marathon Challenges You with an Invigorating Run in the Mountains
The Winter Park Half Marathon & 5K will be held on August 4, 2018 at Grand Park, in the nearby town of Fraser. You’ll find Grand Park at 46 Market St., Fraser, CO 80442. The race will take place between 8:00am and 12:00pm, with the half marathon portion starting at 8:00am and the 5K portion beginning at 9:00am.
Over the course of four hours, participants in the Winter Park Half Marathon & 5K will traverse a high-altitude, single loop course on Grand Park’s dirt roads and trail system, with an elevation gain of over 800 feet. With the course beginning at 8,700 feet in elevation, you and your guests are sure to have quite a challenge as you push your bodies to the limit in the scenic setting of Winter Park!
Other cool aspects of the Winter Park Half Marathon & 5K other than the incredible challenge that its participants face and the picturesque setting they get to enjoy as they run include the race’s chip-timed feature and how 100% of the profits go towards an excellent cause: the Shining Stars Foundation, an organization that benefits children with cancer and other life threatening medical conditions.
Tickets for this event cost $55.00 – $65.00 until race day. The race day price is $80.00.
