One of the oldest traditions at the Winter Park Resort is the exciting Monster Energy Spring Splash! This annual event is currently on its 50th year with Monster Energy on hand to liven up this exciting race. Skiers will attempt their hardest as they go through the obstacle course set up along the Larry Sale Trail race course. The second leg of the race includes skimming across the icy pond before the time runs out. Two categories of skiing and snowboarding will be set, making sure you can participate with your favorite method. This exciting event runs from 12:00pm to 3:00pm, giving the racers approximately three hours to post a time and celebrate their hard-earned achievement. This year’s exciting race will be held on Sunday April 23rd.
How to Enter the Monster Energy Spring Splash
The Monster Energy Spring Splash is a popular event in the area, so participants are encouraged to show up early to register. Registration begins at 8:00am and runs until 10:30am. Each contestant will need to bring $20 for the registration fee. Registration occurs only on the day of the event and is limited to only 100 participants. Each participant must also be 18 years or older to join and to leave the ski bikes at home. Cash prizes and swag are available for the top three placing participants in each category. Spectators are allowed to view the event and cheer on the racers.
