The Rocky Mountains surround our Lakota Reserve #401 luxury villa, giving it a majestic appeal that complements the modern comforts found inside its 5 tranquil bedrooms and 4.5 spacious bathrooms. Constructed of wood, glass, and stone this popular escape is at one with nature and easily meets the needs of up to 11 guests in its over 3000 square feet of space. Floor to ceiling windows offer breathtaking views, wood floors with radiant in floor heating mirror the rustic charms of the beams that crisscross the vaulted ceilings, and modern conveniences ensure that virtual meetings can be attended, delicious meals can be prepared, and entertainment in the form of smart televisions can be enjoyed in between exciting Winter Park adventures. And even though we love our families and are excited to be traveling with them to this Southwest paradise, knowing that everyone has their own space to call their own each night, slipping into the comforts found in the 1 KING BED, 3 QUEEN BEDS, 2 TWIN BEDS (BUNK), AND A PACK AND PLAY PORTABLE CRIB, ensures this vacation will be comfortable and serene.
The entrance to #401 is angled off to the side of a two car garage and as the door swings open into a space filled with light and comfort, every visitor will instantly feel as if they have arrived at home. The living room is surrounded with large windows that let in the views of the mountains and the Colorado landscape providing peace and joy. A seating area against the bank of windows is perfect for reading, watching a 75-inch smart TV perched over the wood mantle of a gas fireplace, or conversing with fellow travelers lounging on the sofa opposite. Doors made of wood and glass lead out onto a deck where the views will be even more impressive when enjoyed from the comfortable seats that are spread around the deck.
Exuding country charm and sophisticated conveniences, the kitchen is a chef’s dream featuring an impressive gas range, granite countertops and an island that peers out at four guests perched on cushion topped wood stools and the views just beyond. Small appliances on the countertop ensure that bread will be toasted and coffee will be brewed and high ceilings give the room an appearance of being even larger than it is. A barbecue grill on the deck outside the living room provides extra options for meal preparation and because it is tucked away in the corner of the deck, it can be used even in the colder months of the year.
The dining room provides symmetry, tucked away in its own windowed corner because everyone understands that breathtaking views are good for digestion. Cushioned chairs provide comfort for extended game playing sessions and the bright light streaming through the windows ensure even tired eyes will be able to read the fine print on the cards included in each game.
The half bath is located on this level, offering an elegant porcelain sink that sits atop a granite topped vanity keeping guests from having to run up or down the stairs every time they need to wash their hands. This level of the home also offers a guest bedroom with twin bunk beds and a comfy cushion for mom or dad to sit on while they read one more bedroom story to the kiddos who are already drifting off into dreamland after only one paragraph.
Multiple families traveling together will appreciate the second living room of #301, located on the lower level of the home. An oversized sectional dominates the space that is filled with built in bookshelves, another smart TV, and wet bar with a wine chiller tucked into its cabinetry. A modern fireplace keeps the room even on days when the temps drop below zero and an oversized leather chair and ottoman provides another place to read and relax.
A master bedroom is filled with luxuries that include a king bed topped with silky soft linens ad a private deck with more of those views you will soon be craving! Featuring its own deck on which access is shared with the queen guest room, summer mornings spent out here sipping coffee will bring guests some of the best memories. The en suite bath is a large and luxurious spa-like space in which a double vanity topped with granite counters and a glass doored walk-in shower are made even more enjoyable with the addition of hotel quality toiletries placed there for the use of all occupants.
A laundry room on this level offers full-sized washer and dryer, built in bookshelves, and a laundry sink that will really come in handy when the littles create an especially messy mess. Continue past the washer and dryer and discover a large room designed to hold your skis and offering a place to sit while taking off your boots.
Guest bedroom number one offers a padded headboard on the queen bed, access to the master bedroom deck (so feel free to join mom and dad out there for a cup of coffee in the mornings!) and its own attached bath with walk in glass doored shower. A double vanity in this room allows it to work easily as a second master suite.
Another queen bed dominates the space in the last guest bedroom which could also double as a third master suite. As expected, it has its own en suite bath, again with a glass doored walk in shower, but it’s a sweet surprise to discover that this room offers access to another deck, this one where a large and happy hot tub bubbles merrily every day of your stay! Additional seating in the form of wood Adirondack chairs contribute to the contentment of all who dwell within and it could be said that THIS room is the most sought after in the home.

Many of the properties in the Winter Park area do not have A/C because of the cooler climate. The resort base does close during the off seasons between the 3rd week in April to the middle of June and the beginning of October to the middle of November, but the town is still open.
