Winter Park 4th of July

Fourth of July 2021 in Winter Park

If you need a getaway that includes a breath of fresh mountain air, fun, and patriotism, Winter Park may be just the place for your early 4th of July retreat. There are plenty of things to do and see this Winter Park 4th of July weekend, from patriotic parties to fireworks, and plenty of activities to take part in while you relax and enjoy.

High-Note Thursday

Start your 4th of July celebration early when you take in a concert. “High-Note Thursdays” is a free summer-long concert series at the Rendezvous Event Center. The community and visitors can enjoy a mix of musical styles, and perhaps some patriotic tunes, performed on the venue’s state-of-the-art stage. The concert is from 6 to 8 p.m.

Winter Park Art Trail

Wander along the Fraser River Trail and take in the art of the inaugural Winter Park Art Trail on Friday, July 2nd. It’s part of Uptripping’s First Fridays and features some of Winter Park’s best artists along the route. Take a moment to enjoy each piece, and don’t forget to vote for your favorite. Keep a lookout for any patriotic pieces or décor along the way.

Rodeo

Don your best red, white, and blue and head to the High County Stampede. The event is part of the CPRA rodeo series and features a junior rodeo, HCSR events, and CPRA rodeo events. There is plenty of other rodeo fun in store for everyone. The event takes place Saturday, July 3rd.

Healthy Fourth

Lace up your running shoes and get some exercise while you celebrate patriotism. The Run for Independence is a 5-mile race along the Fraser River Trail and around Winter Park. You’ll end up at the Rendezvous Event Center. The starting pistol sounds at 8:30 a.m. If running isn’t your preferred workout, join the yoga class on the lawn at the Rendezvous Event Center. Stretch and breathe in the fresh mountain air starting at 9 a.m. on the 4th.

Winter Park 4th of July Celebrations

Join a red, white, and blue 4th of July celebration like no other. There’s a free concert at the Rendezvous Event Center that features Colorado native Buckstein. The country music performer has a bass-baritone voice that will have you hypnotized. Don’t forget to pack a picnic and come early to claim your space. Join in any of the other fun events, from a cornhole tournament to bocce ball, or practice your silly face with patriotic pictures in the complimentary photo booth. There will be many other games and activities full of patriotic fun. The evening ends with a Jumbotron fireworks display and a patriotic sing-along with Buckstein.
