Every home that Winter Park Escapes offer features a unique décor, but the comforts are destined to make you fall in love. Fully equipped kitchens contain updated appliances for easy use and a cheerful ambience for enjoyment. Fireplaces in the living rooms will keep you warm as the snow falls outside, hot tubs on the decks will soothe muscles that are aching after a long day on the slopes, and at night, when the sun has set and the moon bathes the snow covered landscape in an ethereal glow, slipping between the silky soft linens topping our premium mattresses will give you the best sleep of your life. The kids will have a choice of rooms to choose from but from previous experience, we happen to know that they will love the bunk rooms found in many of our homes. Giving them their own space in which they can whisper, giggle late in to the night, the only battle you may have is deciding who gets the top bunk! (Hint: Some of our homes offer bunk rooms with multiple bunks, so that may be the secret to ending at least one sibling squabble!) And although talk of laundry rooms is far from glamourous, when little Paisley spills hot cocoa on her favorite white Christmas sweater or you discover that your teen who was in charge of his own packing packed all his video games and only two changes of clothes for a week-long getaway, you will definitely appreciate the charms of a full-sized laundry room!
Fun with Kids
Finding a vacation destination that excites children and adults equally can be as easy as finding the mythical unicorn, but with Winter Park, you may have come as close as possible to succeeding! No, we don’t have amusement parks with humans dressed as mice and princesses, but we do offer the chance to mingle with real animals. If you want a winter time thrill, Dashing Through the Snow Sleigh Rides will give you and your family the ultimate in family experiences! Located in nearby Fraser, the sleighs are large enough for your entire family to ride through the snow on a cold winter’s night, laughing, chatting, and listening to the horse’s bells as they clip clop through the landscape. If your children are too young or are still intimidated at the thought of being on skis, the most family perfect moments we know of take place on the Coca Cola Tubing Hill at Winter Park. Dress warmly and spend the day riding down inner tubes and when you get cold, take a hot cocoa break in Hill House to fortify you for more trips down the hill!
Breakfasts Prepared by Someone Else
Cooking your meals is a great way to enjoy family time, but sometimes a hearty breakfast prepared, served, and cleared away by someone else is the only thing you crave! Fat Cat Café, 185 E Agate Avenue in Granby is the first place you want to try when you are in that mood, offering comfort food that warms the heart and perhaps one of the best cups of coffee in the state! Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and offering a weekend brunch that will make you glad you’re alive, Fat Cat is one of our favorite cafes and we love being able to share it with you!
