New Year’s Eve has been lucky to be on the weekend the past few years but will land on a Tuesday in 2024. That however will not stop Winter Park from celebrating bringing in the new year together. Winter Park will bring in the official New Year’s Eve Celebration over at the Rendezvous Event Center this year. Our celebration is an all ages event so everyone can join in on the fun not just the adults. Head on over to the Rendezvous Event Center located in Downtown Winter Park where you will the Silent Disco taking place.
Big Little Sound will be on hand playing all of the hits that will play through your own personal headset instead of loud speakers. Dance the evening away with friends and family with this unique dance party. The Rendezvous Event Center also features their own tubing hill where you can enjoy sledding and snow tubing. Sleds, tubes, and even toboggans are all provided to you for the event so you can arrive empty handed to enjoy the fun. The New Year’s Celebration at the Rendezvous Event Center is absolutely free to attend. The event runs from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM making it the perfect family celebration for all ages.
NYE Fireworks Show and Mountain Light Parade
The official Winter Park New Year’s Eve celebration is not the only fun taking place in the surrounding area. You will find that Granby Ranch will also be hosting a mesmerizing event with their NYE Fireworks Show and Mountain Light Parade starting at 7:00 PM. This unforgettable event is sure to have the whole family talking about your trip for years to come. The event kicks off the with torchlight parade that is similar to the one found at Winter Park Resort. Professional skiers will glide on down the slopes with huge torches that light up the night sky.
This unique event is unbelievable to see in person. There will also be a Kids Light Parade too where little ones can join the fun with glow sticks. After the parade is over party attendees will head over to Granby Ranch’s lodges for their New Year’s Eve party that includes live music and a whole lot of dancing. Dance the night away as you wait until the clock strikes midnight for the official new year. Granby Ranch will be showing off a dazzling fireworks display to help remember this incredible event. The NYE Fireworks Show and Mountain Light Parade will start at 7:00 PM so make sure to get there early and catch all of the activities!
New Year’s Eve Special at Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre
Another great attraction that is a short drive away from our vacation rentals in Winter Park is the Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre. Here you will find a variety of live stage shows including performers, singers, and more. This New Year’s Eve they will be hosting their own special starting at 9:00 PM where an alumni performer will perform a one night only performance. Tickets start at $30 per person and will be a perfect event for those who love live entertainment.
New Year’s Eve Fireworks
While you are in Grand Lake for the theatre show you can catch the area’s fireworks show taking place. Bringing in the new year with fireworks is always necessary. The Grand Lake Fireworks Display is one of the best in the state as the fireworks’ light reflect off the frozen lake. This creates a dazzling display like no other. Enjoy some hot cocoa as you warm up under the fireworks along the shore of Grand Lake. The fireworks will begin at midnight to officially kick off 2025 to the best start possible.
