Winter Park Resort is only 5 minutes away and the local lift bus system will drop you off right in the middle of the resort base village which includes the lifts for skiing/boarding/mountain biking, snow tubing, hiking, ice skating, shopping, dining, scheduled entertainment, and other attractions including several summer activities. Just down the street from the chalet is the Grand Park Rec Center with multiple swimming pools, a waterslide, full gym with indoor track, huge rock climbing wall, gymnasium, and children's playground. The Foundry is next to the Rec Center with a bowling alley, movie theater and brick oven pizza bar. The popular recreational areas of Grand Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park are only a 30 minute drive, making for an exceptional rocky mountain accommodation.
