For those who love to fish, this Colorado gem has plenty of opportunities to cast a line. The Fraser River is known for its excellent fishing, and visitors can catch a variety of trout species. For those who can only find the joy in walking when carrying a bag of clubs behind them, Memorial Day Weekend is when the courses open again after being covered in snow for the first few months of the year. Grand Elk, Grand Lake Golf Course, and Pole Creek Golf Club are just a few of our local favorites! Make this trip out west a true Western experience with a horseback ride through the countryside; Snow Mountain Stables in nearby Granby is one of our favorite places for horseback tours, but Winter Park Trail Rides in Parshall comes in a very close second!
In addition to outdoor activities, Winter Park has a vibrant arts and culture scene. The town has several art galleries, including the Cooper Creek Square Artisan Market, which features the work of local artists. The town also hosts several music and theater performances throughout the year. Finally, no trip to Winter Park is complete without trying the local cuisine. The town has a variety of restaurants that offer everything from casual dining to fine dining. Visitors can enjoy local favorites such as Lunch Rock Restaurant & High Craft Bar, Durbar – Nepalese & Indian Bistro, and Fontenot’s Seafood & Grill, to name but a few.
