Every year, Winter Park receives some of the best snow in Colorado. With such close accessibility to Denver and the Denver International Airport, Winter Park is quickly putting itself on the map of premier ski destinations in the country. To be sure you’re getting the most out of your ski trip, we’ve compiled five of our favorite runs at Winter Park Resort and adjacent Mary Jane. Read more about the Winter Park City Colorado skiing below:

Runaway/Trestle

This area can be great no matter what the snow conditions are. When the snow is thin or shallow, ski Runaway and the lower part of Trestle to avoid rocks and debris. When snow is deep, enjoy the whole Trestle Trail in all its sub-alpine glory.

Upper Arrowhead Loop/Rainbow Cut

With less people on Upper Arrowhead Loop and Rainbow Cut, these runs can be quite a treat in the midst of the heavy ski season at Winter Park. Upper Arrowhead Loop features steep bumps locally known as the Hero Bumps, which can be a challenging and fun aspect of the trail. The run then opens up into Rainbow Cut, which is a wide run with great snow.

Belle Fourche

For extra thick powder skiing, head to Belle Fourche. It’s somewhat difficult to access and there’s a long flat runout at the base of the trail. Despite this, though, Belle Fourche is still one of the best trails in Winter Park. These features also make Belle Fourche one of the less populated routes, allowing you to ski freely—quite a treat in Colorado.

Panoramic Express

The Panoramic Express is popular for good reason. At the top of the lift, you get panoramic views of the Continental Divide and surrounding mountains, as the lift’s name implies. As a ski run, Panoramic Express can be busy but the snow is good. The slope is well prepared, and the snow is reliable on the Panoramic Express run, making it a sure location for a good time on the mountain.

The Sleeper

Located on the Mary Jane side of the Winter Park Resort, The Sleeper is an advanced intermediate run. With great, reliable snow and less people than other similar trails at Winter Park Resort, this trail remains one of our favorites. Access The Sleeper via the Summit Express lift.
