With Grand Adventures Snow Mobile Tours, you can select from a variety of one, two, and three-hour tours—one even includes a path along the continental divide, where you can ascend thousands of feet and be treated to unbeatable views of the Fraser Valley. Winter Park also offers snow-shoeing and cross-country skiing trails, as well as trails for “fat bikes”—bikes with special wheels that you can take out on the snow-covered paths!
Winter Pastimes with Seasonal Spirit
There’s also a great variety of seasonal activities in Winter Park! Sombrero Stables offers horse-drawn sleigh rides to the historic Rowley Homestead, complete with hot chocolate and roasting marshmallows around the campfire before returning home. In Fraser, Dashing Thru the Snow offers a similar sleigh-ride. The Village at Winter Park Resort has fantastic winter shopping, with a special holiday marketplace showcasing work by local artists and craft makers—a great place to pick up a souvenir or a few holiday gifts. Here you’ll also find winter events such as the annual tree-lighting and Christmas Eve fireworks. If you’re looking for indoor activities, you could tour the Heritage Park Museum, consisting of six historic buildings that provide a peak into the early life of settlers in the area.
