Enjoy the holidays cozied high up in the Rockies when you come and spend this special season with us! Spend Thanksgiving Day skiing down the mountainside followed by a holiday feast, go on a horse-drawn sleigh ride during Christmastime, and have a New Year’s spent dancing the night away at the Winter Park Resort Village—there’s so much to do in Winter Park during the holidays, you might even be hard pressed to do them all!
Have a Picturesque Holiday in the Mountains
The scenery of the Rockies is stunning any time of the year, but there’s something extra special about the town and surrounding mountains being covered in a white blanket of snow. It creates the perfect seasonal vibe for the holidays, and offers a number of exciting outdoor recreation activities that are a fitting way to unwind during a holiday vacation, such as skiing at the Winter Park Resort, ice-skating at the Village Ice Rink, or go snow tubing at the nearby Historic Fraser Tubing Hill. As an added benefit, many of our rentals are nearby these attractions, and quite a few offer a “Ski-On, Ski-Off” feature where you can travel to the trails right from your front door!
Plenty of Seasonal Activities for Holiday Cheer
Winter Park is full of seasonal activities to get you into the holiday spirit. With Dashing Thru the Snow Sleigh Rides in nearby Fraser, you can go on a horse-drawn adventure through the snowy woods, which finishes off with hot cocoa and marshmallow roasting around a campfire. When you spend the holidays in Winter Park, you can partake in classic holiday pastimes, like building a snowman or making snow angels right in your own yard! Your cozy rental will offer everything you need to make a holiday feast on your own, but should you want to dine out, there’s an impressive number of restaurants offering holiday meals, among them The Lodge at Sunspot and Heck’s Tavern at Devil’s Thumb Ranch.
Events for Every Holiday
If you’re at Winter Park during the holidays around Thanksgiving, you can attend the Grand Holiday Market at The Village at Winter Park Resort and browse goods from local craftspeople and artists, followed up by a tree lighting. On Christmas Eve, you won’t want to miss the fantastical torchlight parade, where an array of Christmas lights and fireworks light up the snow-covered mountainside. For New Years Eve, head to town to see a fireworks show, and afterward you can attend a late-night party at Deno’s or Volario’s, just to name a few!
